The last star is lost, cause Sherlock became, as my friend described it - a steampunk James Bond. Yet - the movie is really pleasant to watch - I had tons of fun while in cinema.

I just finished reading Thuvia of Mars - it was fourth book about adventures on Barsoom - or Mars for us, earthborn.

Written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Barsoom Series contains 11 books and two stories. First one was published in 1912. And it’s a protoplast of modern space opera genre. 

It tells a story of John Carter, a former captain of Confederates of American Civil war, who suddenly finds himself on surface of dying Mars.

It’s a must read in my opinion for every SF geek.

Can’t shake the feeling, that this particular movie is continuation of Leon the Professional. Had fun watching it, and imho - worth seeing.

Nice western-like theme. It was little snoozy through some moments, but overall - I liked it. Also - it should be noted, that among the trio of the actors mentioned on the top of the posters, there is also Sam Rockwell playing.

I loved it. The only part I was no so-so about was the frakkin’ 3D…
